The Grooves band has been a favorite of affordable Austin wedding bands and Austin wedding singers since 1991 and has a proven track record of keeping the crowd on the dance floor and partying till the very end of the night. This popular band has been specializing in wedding receptions since 1991 and performs over 90 weddings a year to rave audiences across Texas. The band plays all genres of songs from 60's to high energy current hits, picking songs to play based on crowd response to insure that the energy stays rocking all night. They also have a classy dinner set complete with a horn section that adds that extra touch of extravagance to your reception. The dinner set is at a comfortable volume so that while everyone is eating, they can converse comfortably without having to shout. Ron, the band leader, also acts as MC announcing all events throughout the night including best man toasts, cutting of the cake and bouquet and garter toss. He can also provide a microphone for toasts and speeches. The band can wear tuxes all night for a formal occasion or switch to outrageous costumes later in the night during the high energy dance sets. The band provides all sound and lights and is fully self contained.

About The Grooves wedding band In Austin
The Grooves band started performing for weddings back in 1991 and have been perfecting their performance and song list to custom tailor it to the diverse ages at wedding receptions. Their classy dinner set with songs from Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Etta James, Patsy Cline as well current favorites such as Nora Jones, Michael Buble, Jason Mraz and others has been touted as the best set in town for cocktail hours, dinner or for any event where you want that extra touch of class at a lower volume. Often times the band will start out with the classic music during the dinner set and then when the dance set starts, the band goes into 60's 70's and 80's with some current as well. The songs they play during this set is geared to be enjoyed by all ages including the older folks that often are still there during the second set. Later on in the night, at most weddings, it's mostly lots of young people so current dance music is the norm during that time. Once again, the band picks songs based on crowd response so depending on the crowd, the genres of music played during the second and last set might be totally different. This is the only way to insure that the energy of the party stays rocking during the whole night. Most wedding bands just pick forty songs and play them no matter how the crowd is reacting but the Grooves band plays custom sets based on your crowd's response. That's why The Grooves have been touted as the best of Austin wedding bands since 1991.

"Ron, thank you so much for the great performance at John's and my wedding! I couldn't have done it without you and your band. You even had my parents dancing and they never dance. I loved the great variety of music and thanks for playing my favorites for me, my college girl friends were rockin' and rolling to those old songs that we used to dance to in college and it really brought back a lot of memories. If you ever need a referral, just let me know. Thanks again!"
"Hi Ron, I just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you for the amazing performance Saturday night.. Russell was amazing singing at the ceremony as well and his acoustic version of "Marry Me" as I was walking down the aisle was truly breathtaking. Thank you for being so responsive to all my questions, I know I wrote you an email every other day, but you really were a huge help to me with deciding on the route we should take with the musical part of my reception. I also appreciate you being the MC for us and helping to be our faux coordinator! Be sure and tell your band how much we enjoyed them!!"
"Hi Ron, I wanted to thank you for letting my dad get up and sing with you at my wedding reception. I know he's not the best singer, but it sure meant a lot to my mom getting to see him sing to me. Your band sure was amazing and your singers sounded just like the original artists. Everyone kept asking, "Where did you find this amazing band?" They couldn't believe that I found you on the internet, and they are still talking about what a fun night they all had dancing to your music! Thanks for such a wonderful evening!."
"You guys ROCK! In every sense of the word! I'm so happy that i chose you guys (and gals) to play for my wedding reception. I loved you mix of current and classic music. Your dinner set had my grandparents dancing to the Sinatra and your singer's version of Louis Armstrong was unbelievable! I've never seen a standing ovation during a dinner, but it really was well deserved for that impeccable impersonation. And then you guys went into Nat King Cole, my parent's favorite, and got them up and dancing! All in all your show could not have been more perfect. Be sure and tell your band that they really made our night!"
"Ron, it was a pleasure working with you at Jim and Sue's wedding last Sunday. Every time we work together on a wedding that I'm coordinating I know I can relax because I know you will always be flexible with my schedule when it runs behind or when a bride is ready to shift things forward, and I never have to be on you to make sure you start on time. I have another bride coming up in April and I'll be recommending you for that reception as well. Looking forward to working with you again soon!."
