Additionally, one of the most popular genres in the 70s was disco—dance music that was a staple on the urban nightlife scene. The Grooves are primarily a dance band, so we love playing music from the 70s, as well as many other decades.
Popular disco, soul, and funk groups included KC & The Sunshine Band, Sister Sledge, Donna Summer, and Earth, Wind & Fire, many of whom we cover. Others included Frankie Valli, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, New Order, Chic, and The Human League.

What events can you book The Grooves for? Our specialty is wedding receptions. In fact, our wedding band performs more than 100 a year in Texas. We love helping brides and grooms end their big day with a bang and watching them have a blast out on the dance floor with their guests. We deliver an entertainment experience that you and your guests will remember for a lifetime!

The Grooves 70s band performs at events throughout Texas. Of course, we play in Texas’ major music hubs including Austin, Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio. But we also perform in smaller towns and surrounding areas including Fort Worth, Bryan and College Station, New Braunfels and so on.
