After The Dallas Country Grooves came on the scene the band fast grew to be Dallas’ favorite country party band for corporate parties, wedding receptions, galas, rodeo cookoffs and any other event that demands a high energy country band. The band comes highly recommended for anyone looking to entertain small and large audiences with good ol’ Texas country music. The Grooves formed in 1991 and immediately rose to the top of Dallasc country bands with their huge song selection, authentic sound and performances, and ability to “play to the crowd” switching styles and genres to keep the dance floor packed and the energy of the party hopping all night long. The Grooves are one of the best live bands specializing in country music and much more in Houston. One of the keys to keeping everyone on the dance floor is proper song selection and with a list of over 200 songs to choose from, The Dallas Country Grooves know exactly what your crowd wants to hear from moment to moment in order to keep the audience tuned in all night. We recommend the bride or host even request a few songs that they want to hear so they’re comfortable with the performance that they’re party is enjoying. We’ll even mix it up a little by throwing in a few songs every now and then from other genres so the crowd gets enough country with enough variety for everyone. The Grooves will pull out songs from the extensive list and play music from other genres such as Motown, reggae, swing, r&b, latin and pop.
The Groove’s performance can flex and bend in accordance with the agenda of the evening in order to ensure all the events and accommodations of the schedule are taken care of. For wedding receptions the band usually kicks off dinner hour at a lower volume with slower songs so everyone can enjoy their conversations, then pumps up the volume with higher tempo, full throttle entertainment which focuses on crowd interaction and a full dance floor. The Grooves engage the audience with line dancing and sing-a-longs a while playing a series of transitions and medleys.
The Grooves provide the highest quality sound and lighting production that excels above and beyond the country expectations Dallas is accustomed to. We use a state of the art mixing console with wireless microphones for the singers, and a digital drum set that best suits the needs of any room you want to have the party in.
The Grooves’ attire can be whatever kind of dress code that you are looking for. We will dress up in our complete country attire to give Dallas that Texas country atmosphere they’re used to with cowboy hats boots and jeans or even in the more elegant garments for the gals and Tuxedos for the guys. We can even mix it up if the coordinator likes and wear something in between like our personal favorite kind of outfit, the Texas Tuxedo, with Cowboy boots, blue jeans, tux shirts and vests. We’ll of course top ourselves off with cowboy hats so that everyone has that good ol’ fashion Texas size party!

The Grooves suit your party’s desires by being entirely customizable to best accommodate any size event. The band fills any size stage and consists of anywhere from 4 to 10 members. If you’d like a basic 4piece band, we can provide a lead female vocalist, guitarist, bassist, drummer and even lead and backup male vocals all with only 4 people. When you need a band that can pull out all the stops with a larger scale performance then The Grooves are your band by providing 3 lovely female vocalists, 3 male vocalists, a guitarist, bassist, tenor sax player, trumpet player, baritone sax player, trombone player and an excellent drummer that’ll keep the beat revved up all night. We insist on keeping the dance floor jam-packed with dancers young and old.
