Over the years, we’ve served 1000s of clients and performed many more concerts. Yet, we never tire of hearing about how impressed people were, how great a time everyone had, and how they’ll never forget the fun-filled memories we helped to create. We hired The Grooves band for our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made! Everyone kept telling us how awesome the band was. They truly play to the crowd to try to keep the party going. They… have a fairly large song selection too. Our friends and family had the time of their lives. My husband woke up the next morning and told me I had thrown him the best party of his life lol! Ron was so great to work with, very responsive! I can’t say enough good things about this band. The only bad thing of the night was that it ended too soon. We wanted to stay longer! I would hire them 10x over again. If you’re thinking about it, do it. It’s a game changer for any event, especially a wedding!read more

We had a 50th Anniversary party scheduled in March for my parents and when Covid hit and everything closed down Ron made sure we did not worry that they would work with us on rescheduling. We finally… rescheduled for July and we had such a great time. The band checked with us ahead of time for all the plans, they showed up on time and ready to perform, they were so kind and made sure we had a great time. The music was fun and kept the dance floor full. All of our guest loved the band and made sure to comment on them. The Grooves played at our daughter’s wedding at the end of August. We had never met and/or heard the band in person until the day of her wedding. Our daughter and now husband listened to their clip that… was on Gigsalad and the venue also recommended them. We were highly impressed with their vocals as well as their song choices plus the songs that we had requested. They were prompt, professional, and reasonable. If you are searching for a band (not a DJ), we would highly recommend that you seek out this group. We had a wonderful time as did our guests and were very pleased with The Grooves!read more

What an amazing night! The Groves were fan-fabulous! If I heard once, I heard multiple times what a great band we booked. Having the ability to accommodate an age group ranging from 25 years old to 85… years young, playing what was requested, adjusting to the crowd, mixing things up, exceeding my expectations in loudness, softness, having quality singers with superb musicians dressing the part were all factors in our Opa Social being a wonderful success. The quality customer service from the moment of that first inquiry call to the final verbal conversation of ‘thank you’, was not only professional but extremely impressive. Everyone commented all night long how great the band was and how they seemed to play a variety of music “just right.” Indeed, the music was great, but… I appreciated the professionalism in their pre-engagement and post engagement business. They answered every phone call, e-mail and inquiry promptly. Every communication was candid regarding discussions of costs, number of musicians to perform, and types of music to be performed. This group was amazing! We hosted our National User Conference in Allen, Texas April 2019 for over 316 folks and this group really got the crowd rocking. They were super communicative during the… engagement process, energetic, great range of vocals, large playlist. They even took on learning a new song at our request prior to the event and played it as the opening song at our finale event. Couldn’t have hoped for a better experience. They even dressed up to match our Gatsby Roaring 20’s theme at Prohibition… Theatre in Houston, TX. They were easy to do business with too. Not only is the Grooves band awesome, but Ron is fantastic to work with. Most bands will not play all of the songs that are requested, but Ron makes sure your special selections are played. Our party was… for a dance club whose members like a variety of music from oldies to current, and this band can play it all. The Grooves had played the year before, and were so popular, we booked them again for our Jan. 2019 party. From their playlist, we selected 39 songs which was approximately 3 hours of music, and I think they played every one! People who normally would have left before the end of the party were still dancing to the very end. Countless members have said it was the best party the club has ever had. Not surprisingly, we have already signed a contract to have the Grooves back in January 2020!read more

“I heard about The Grooves through a co-worker who raved about this band that played at his daughter’s wedding. I was intrigued so I went ahead and booked them. It was the best decision of my entire… wedding (besides the groom of course). This band is absolutely fantastic. Months later and my family and friends are still raving about the band and how much fun they had dancing all night. The Grooves not only impressed me by their amazing performance, but they were extremely friendly to work with, arrived on time, had everything set up… early, tore down and cleaned up after themselves – which helped me save time focusing on other aspects of the wedding day! If you need a vendor that will bring 120% to the stage (the crowd was WILD while they played – the energy was electric) and respond promptly, then you should definitely book The Grooves! Awesome, awesome, awesome. If you want your party or reception to be incredible, memorable and downright fun, we highly recommend The Grooves. It was an absolute pleasure working with Ron and The Grooves… for our wedding April 6, 2013 at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center. The Grooves MADE the reception. They read the crowd and kept them partying all night long. Ron’s advice on the play list was invaluable. He definitely knows which songs are ‘cleaners’, thus we culled through 100s of songs picking the best ones that would keep the dance floor hopping and folks of all ages comfortable on the dance floor. That effort paid off as the dance floor was never empty. The dinner set was perfect because people could still converse and hear each other while many of the folks actually got up to dance between meal courses. We had 80 year old to 6 year olds dancing the night away with most of the 180 guests staying until the end of the reception. We never thought so many folks of all ages would be there at the end. The costume changes added to the energy and was well worth it! Folks commented on how great it was at a certain point where a few band members got down on the dance floor to amph the party up another notch. The evening went seamlessly from introductions to first dance to speeches to our exit song. Ron kept things moving in a tasteful and classy manner.
