The Grooves were formed back in 1991 and after playing a few shows, the San Antonio nightlife was never the same. Year after year The Grooves have delivered the best of Motown classics to San Antonio and are now the city’s premier Motown band for keeping the crowd dancing and raving for more. The Grooves are the perfect Motown band for any size event you throw and we’ll fit any stage no matter what size it is. If you’re having a small function or gathering, we can scale back the size of the band and show up with only a four-piece band consisting of lead female vocals, a guitarist, a bassist, backup and lead male vocals with one awesome drummer. We’ll provide all that with only 4 people, and we can pull out all the stops for those large events when you need a fantastic size band. For those crazy nights where you need to accommodate a more massive crowd we’ll show up with a ten-piece party band consisting of 3 lovely female singers, 3 male vocalists, a guitarist, a bassist, a trombone player, a tenor sax player, a baritone sax player, a trumpet player and an exciting drummer that’ll keep the engine revved up until the crowd dances their shoes off.
